Thanks to everyone for securing the domains, telegram, github, etc.

I like the logo with the cat writing poetry, and the color palate seems nice.

I am/was a little concerned about the conflicting trademark, but if it becomes a problem we can rename in the future.

As for the cat, maybe we can refine it a bit. I liked the carp as a contrast to Walter's trout.

Could we perhaps use the carp logo for the nightly builds and the cat or another animal for the semi-annual or annual stable releases?

I find the atmosphere interesting. The little mascot with a tab in its mouth looks funny but honestly I don't get the reference to piracy. I'd rather present Renku to the public as a serious project. Dont get me wrong. It's just my humble opinion.

Bob I agree. While it may be funny as an insider thing, if we want people to take the project seriously, the piracy theme is not going to work in our favor.

Bob Its not Pirate as in piracy, its Pirate as in rebel. Steve Jobs used the same motif when creating the Mac. He did fine with it ;-)

Having Tracker in a Pirate hat implies a journey. Having him in the Far East implies going into new territory.
