RenkuOS repo

I made a RenkuOS repo for us. Testers are welcome.
Seems fine from my tests, but if it's slow or any other issues, let me know.
The repo updates every 24 hours to the latest nightly image.

Add it to HaikuDepot with the command
pkgman add-repo http://renkuos.freemyip.com/repo/x86_64
or copy the link ( http://renkuos.freemyip.com/repo/x86_64 ) and open HaikuDepot and under the HaikuDepot menu open "Manage Repositories", click the plus (+) sign on bottom right and add the link there.

Then disable the "Haiku" repo by highlighting it and clicking "Disable". (I would not remove it using pkgman drop-repo yet ;-)

then "Refresh repositories" under the HaikuDepot menu.

Then "Check for Updates" and install any found.

Reboot and bam! You're in RenkuOS! Yippie!

All the packages in the repo come from the nightly image. So when the nightly .iso file is updated these packages are also updated. A check for the new iso is done daily.

HaikuPorts is priority 1 and Renku is priority 2. That means any user apps that we also carry will defer to the HaikuPorts version. Probably ok for now, but we will want to promote Renku's priority and maybe scale HaikuPorts priority back.

I changed the Renku priority to 1. But do we have the ability to change haikuports priority? As far as I can see the priority is set on the repo side.

If we can't change the priority, we can mirror the files to our own repo and set the priority there.

That was my impression as well.

Shaka444 That's right. Doesn't make the most sense from a system standpoint to allow repos to choose their own priority.

NOTE: If you added Renku repo before we changed it to "priority 1" you have to drop the repo and re-add it.
pkgman drop-repo Renku
pkgman add-repo http://renkuos.freemyip.com/repo/x86_64

This tool does not seem to be making packages. I had up to PR#61 with my usb_audio driver drop last night, but there have not been any packages made since the 24th, even though there were several nightlies with changes since then.

I now see update packages available but the downloads fail

UPDATE: Nvm. I had to refresh the repos in HaikutDepot for some reason.

This is probably a really silly idea, but do these priority numbers have inherent meanings (1 for the system, 2 for apps ...) or is it just a case of "this one is higher than that one"? If the latter, what would happen if we set our repo's priority to 0?
