Hi everyone! Inspired by a few discussions over on the Haiku Telegram chat, I decided to kick off an experimental side project: Atomo123, an Excel clone tailored for Haiku. Here's what I've done so far: Extracted the core from cuore di sumit Created the OpenOffice, Excel, and CSV translators Built a new GUI using TranslatorKit Set up a coverage system to bench-test all the code Since I'm carrying the whole team on my back here, I know it'll take months to reach something truly usable, but the foundation is laid! Feedbacks, ideas, or tips (especially on the bench-testing side) are super welcome. Cheers, Andrea

What's new since v0.2.0:

XLSX/ODS export with live formulas: Exported files retain active formulas (instead of just evaluated values) for cells that do not reference other sheets.
Bug fixes for CSV/ODS/XLSX export: Fixed two critical bugs during save operations (ambiguous translator selection by BTranslatorRoster, and unrecognized ASCD version).
Translator Info views: Added missing information views for all four translators (CSV/XLS/XLSX/ODS) in Haiku's Data Translations preference panel, localized in English.
Commit hash in splash screen: The splash screen now displays the commit hash directly below the version number.
Rewritten documentation: Documentation has been rewritten in English for greater conciseness.
HPKG package: Attached atomo123-0.2.0-1-x86_64.hpkg includes the application and all four translators (CSV/XLS/XLSX/ODS). Copy to ~/config/packages/ (current user) or /boot/system/packages/ (system-wide).

I installed via HaikuDepot and tried to open 3 different .xlsx file and got the same error on each. All 3 files open in LibreOffice Calc in Haiku. LibreOffice doesn't render the font, I don't know if that is related or not.

Any chance we could get the app localized? The only language I am fluent in is English, so it's hard to test and troubleshoot

Sorry! Ignore my previous comment! I was testing with an older version I had compiled. The version I installed via Haiku Depot is opening the files, and localization is working fine. I will start testing a bunch of files to see if I can find any bugs.
