I tried to install it but my Haiku installation is to old. It installs but I cannot launch it. I am still on limited data so I cannot upgrade at the moment. I will test it when I get the opportunity.
Another thing that I find important is that software functionality should be discoverable. What I mean by that is that the UI should be designed in a way that the user can learn all its features. For example keyboard shortcuts needs to be announced so that the user can learn them. It can be by hovering an UI element for a short amount of time which shows information about that element including keyboard shortcuts. Another one is that keyboard shortcuts should be displayed in all menus.
It can be difficult to achieve without being annoying. Modern software is often designed to appease as large group as possible. To achieve that they design for idiots which annoys all the other users. My philosophy is that idiots will struggle in life anyway so no need to take them into consideration. Instead design for the average user. This way idiots will struggle as they always do, but the expert users will not be annoyed. Never design for the expert users, but leave enough configurability so the expert users can change the behaviour of the software to suit them. For example expert users will want to be able to turn off discoverability since they have already learnt the functionality and they want to be able to customize the software by settings, scripting or programming.
