dcbeckman I never messed with Squirrel, but I remember it bringing us some handy apps back in the day. I am surprised nobody has messed with it.
It wasn't that great a language, truth be told. It's the principle of the thing, the "C++ or nothing" approach. I would like to see a dozen languages with access to the Haiku API. There is yab. I love yab. I wrote the book on yab, literally. But it hasn't moved forward in fifteen years. In some respects, it has moved backwards. There are on-again, off-again attempts to integrate python, dating all the way back to the BeOS days.
