Hi everyone,
I just finished watching this video about Haiku OS by ZacsTech and thought I would share it with the community:
I find it to be a very well-made and comprehensive overview, especially for those approaching the system for the first time. In particular:
- I really appreciate how clearly it explains fundamental concepts like "Replicants" and the unique workflow of the "Tracker."
- The section on installing Haiku in a virtual machine is also explained very well, which should make the process less intimidating for new users.
The only note I would add is that, regarding the browser, Falcon is quite dated now; there are likely better, more current alternatives for those looking for a functional web experience on Haiku today.
What do you think? Do you agree with his analysis of the current ecosystem?
